How to find us

Tarves is approximately 18 miles Northwest of Aberdeen. The Heritage Centre is located in the Square at the centre of the Village. There are free parking spaces within the Square itself. The postcode is AB41 7GX.

From Aberdeen: take the A90 North across the Bridge of Don. Turn left on to the B999 at the roundabout. Follow the B999 for approximately 13 miles to Tarves.

From Ellon: take the A920 towards Pitmedden. On reaching the crossroads 4 miles along this road, turn right onto the B999 to reach Tarves a further 2 miles on.

From Oldmeldrum: take the A920 to Pitmedden then turn left onto the B999.

The Heritage Centre, which opened in July 2004, is housed in part of a Victorian school dating back to 1837. Extensively restored to blend in with the village's Conservation Area status, the Heritage Centre is now a major attraction in Tarves and the surrounding area.
